2. Save
all work on the Student HD. If
your work is on the desktop, it will be deleted.
3. When
you are done working, save your work in a folder with your name on it, on the
Student HD and/or back up your work on a removable media like a CD, External
Hard Drive, or USB Jump Drive
4.
Close your files and applications when you are finished.

Workflow: Importing Images from the Memory Card
1. Plug
the camera cable or card reader in to the USB port
2. If
iPhoto opens automatically, quit it.
We wonÕt be using iPhoto in this class.

Create a folder on the Student HD to import your photos to.

Select all the images you want to import.
5. Drag
and drop them into your folder on the Student HD.
6. Open
Bridge CS3 (the reddish brown icon on the dock that says ÒBrÓ)
7. Find
your folder in the browser.

Rename them: Tools ˆ Batch Rename (shortcut=Shift +
Command + R)

Troubleshooting tip: if your camera doesnÕt appear, check to make sure itÕs on,
then try selecting <Refresh List>

Under ÒImport SettingsÓ , select the location for download (your folder)
7. Hit
ÒGet PhotosÓ button. The images
will download and appear in Bridge.
