At Bounded Space — Hui-min Tsen

At Bounded Space (2018-2024)

At Bounded Space is a text piece designed to be used universally at any boundary line encounter. The text leads the reader through a series of questions designed to raise awareness about the subtle physical and mental responses that happen when encountering different types of boundaries. The piece was performed as a series of guided walks at Compound Yellow, Hyde Park Art Center, Gallery 400, and Space p11. I also led the walks for courses several times both on zoom and in-person.

Length: 45 minutes, 4-5 boundary lines were crossed for each walk including social, physical, legal, rugs and carpets, private/public, invisible/visible.
